Justin Rowe

Youth Director

Justin and his wife Amber have a deep desire to see the hearts of our Jr. High and High Schoolers transformed. Through their creative gifts, they are passionate about teaching more than sound doctrine - the sound practice that comes from a life that has been born-again by the Spirit. Their belief is that God is raising up a new generation of godly leaders. Their desire is that He raise them up right here at Living Hope! Justin and Amber have one son and three daughters and reside in Hanover Park, Illinois.

youth5Psalm 145:4 says “One generation shall commend Your works to another.”  At Living Hope Bible Church, we love the next generation and desire to see them raised for God’s glory. We exist to glorify God by bringing people to Jesus and membership in His family, helping them to grow and change in Christlike maturity, and equipping them for service to God in the local church and in mission to the world.

Foundational Priorities of Youth Ministry…

The Glory youth3of God. Whatever Living Hope does to serve families and teens must fulfill this purpose: to bring glory to God. One of the ways that we bring glory to God as a church is by helping parents and teens to be intentional about beholding God’s glory (2 Corinthians 3:18).
The Gospel of Jesus. As a church we seek to bring glory to God through Spirit-transformed lives by the gospel. At Living Hope, we want to assist parents in raising teens who will be gripped by the gospel. We want to help families to delight in the glory of the gospel and to live by the sin-conquering, fruit-bearing power of the gospel.

God-Given Means of Youth Ministry…

youth4The Family. The primary means for youth discipleship in the Bible is the relationship of the family (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). At Living Hope we hope to serve parents by equipping them to do the work of the ministry of raising families to know, love, and fear the Lord. Parents are always welcome to join us during any of our activities or teaching times.
The Local Church. We also believe that the church should partner with families for youth discipleship. We look for ways that the church can equip and build up the saints who are youth (Ephesians 4:11-12). We also want to teach the teens that they are part of the church and should learn to use their gifts to serve the church. Our youth ministry is one good place for the teens to grow in their love for serving the church and developing godly friendships.

Living Hope’s Process of Youth Ministry…

youth2Sunday Morning – 9:30 AM – Our main purpose in this hour is to equip teens with a better understanding of God’s Word. We do this through a mixture of lecture and group discussions led by our Youth Director Justin Rowe as well as our Elder over youth ministries, Michael Klikas.
Wednesday eveningOn Wednesday evenings (during the Winter and Summer quarters), the youth group meets from 7pm-8:15. This is an informal time to study the Bible together, pray, and edify one another.
Activities and Events. Throughout the year we have a variety of activities for the youth group. These activities include service projects, bonfires, game nights, mission trips, camps, etc.

If you have any questions about our youth ministry, please contact Justin Rowe or Michael Klikas.
